My mother and father got married on the 22nd March 1958 so you know what that means, yes you are right, an amazing 50 years together. My brothers and I got together and put on an amazing day for them last weekend. We started at 1.00pm and had a cocktail party which went through to 5.30pm. They were surrounded with family and friends and they had a fantastic time. Mum was told to get out of the kitchen and literally picked up by Dick and carried out at one stage. She surprisingly listened to him and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon mingling and enjoying herself without worrying about a thing (I mean to say what did she have to worry about with her
daughter at the realm)!! Ruby had a great day playing with her cousins and especially getting to see her newest cousin Jamie once again. There were lots of hugs and kisses. Ruby was done with catching up and had to get down to business and help Nana open some of the beautiful presents they

got, even though the invitation clearly stipulated NO PRESENTS they were still adorned with lovely gifts. It was great to have the family together to help our parents and grandparents celebrate their very special 50 years together.
A special apology to my mother and father that we couldn't hold it on the actual day but how could we let something like that get in the way of Easter (Dick would never forgive me). A week later it was still a very special and wonderful day. We

love you Mum and Dad (Nana & Poppy).

What a great blog Wendy - good on you. I love the layout (it's sure easy for me to follow!). I'll have a good read when we return on Monday - but before that we'll love catching up with you all on Sunday and have fun watching our little miracles playing together! Love, Gra, Jen and Ebby xxx
